She's home (and so am I)!

After what seems like weeks (but it may only be days) I have come home to greet my newborn sis. She's lovely. However, all I could come out with on the spur of the moment was 'AH!' and point. Seems like the cat got my tongue!
Mum and dad seem very relaxed about the whole thing. Apparently they arrived home about 1230 today. Meanwhile I was at a garden centre with nanny and grandad playing in all the Wendy houses I could find (loadsa fun). Should have known something was going on!
So, dad says, this is how the day went. He arrives at 8am to find mum champing at the bit to be
released and off to get breakfast. The midwife was very impressed at this and got the hint that mum was keen to go. So then blood cord lady
(mum and dad donated Zoe's blood cord, if you don't
know what that is, go here), she turned up to take the final set of blood tests and send them off to the labs (I know all the lingo!). Meanwhile Zoe had her hearing test (all good), a chat with the midwife about various things like not getting pregnant again too soon (amen to that!), dad took all the overnight stuff down to the car, the doctor prescribed the drugs (mum liked that!), the Bounty woman annoyed everyone on the ward, dad changed Zoe for home into the most enormous pink fluffy fleece which she hated and put her in the car seat and then it was time to go home.
