Ashridge again.....

A walk in Ashridge this morning, getting to know the place quite well by now. Nice and sunny, I was really up for it so I fell asleep in the car. I was rudely awoken by dad loudly wishing Auntie Jill a happy birthday. Happy birthday Auntie Jill (I didn't actually know until he was on the phone).  So, anyway, I woke up. So dad took me out of the nice warm car and plonked me into a buggy. It was flippin' breezy and not too warm I can tell you! However, it was a new buggy, with room for two apparently. I'm going to be sharing my carriage? That doesn't sound a promising start to having a little sister. She'd better be getting the back seat, that's all I can say. Off for a nice country walk then. Punctuated by me being somewhat indecisive about whether I wanted to walk or be in my (new and now I've discovered, comfy) buggy. What I did decide was that I really wanted to feed twigs to my dad. Didn't taste them myself but he didn't really seem to be enjoying them. I gave him enough opportunity to like them (well that's what they do with me when they have new food to try). I gave it up after a while, much to his relief, and we carried on walking (we dad did, I wanted carrying but he wasn't having it so I sat in my buggy with some grapes. He wouldn't even peel them, can you believe it?).
This afternoon was a bit of a wash out (it poured with rain while we were looking for a birthday pressie for Auntie Jill), so we gave it up and came home. I watched nearly the whole of 'Monsters Inc' and ate 'Skips' (bit of a funny taste which made my nose screw up at first). Great film, bit scary in places so I hid behind Elephant coz he's my mate. Mum and dad chilled out with me. Dad occasionally annoying me by wanting to play. I just wanted watch the film.
Nearly had a disaster before my bath this evening. I was standing minding my own business at the side of the bath watching it fill when the next thing I know, splash, elephant's in the drink! Now I know elephants are supposed to like the water, but let me tell you, he starting sinking like a stone (covered in fluff and fur). Dad to the rescue, he lept in and saved him. Sopping wet but still alive. Hurrah! Now, with only half an hour til bed this presented a bit of a problem, as the parents were only too aware. I just can't sleep without elephant and he was soaking wet. In steps dad again. This time with the hair drier. He says he's done a lot of strange things in his life, but he's never blown hot air up an elephant's bottom before! Well I'm glad he did!
Rumour has it that this is my last night with the parents before lil sis turns up. I'm staying with Jo and Joel tomorrow night and then Tuesday is D-Day, when I move on to stay with the grandparents. Gulp! Well, I'm a bit nervous even if they're not.
I'll be in touch.
